Ledger Review
Use Ledger to confirm the posted accounting recorded for the selected company. Opening Ledger reloads the posted-entry list, and successful manual or Summary posting also refreshes it.
Review an entry
Each posted journal entry has a heading showing:
- its
JE-number; - posting date and financial period;
- company currency;
- source and Source Document reference;
- explanation; and
- total debits and credits.
Under the heading, review every persisted line's original line number, account code and name, description, debit, and credit. Ledger presents debit lines before credit lines for readability but does not renumber them.
Confirm that:
- the company, date, period, source, and explanation match the intended work;
- total debits equal total credits;
- each account and line description expresses the approved accounting effect; and
- the entry agrees with the related source and workbench result.
Ledger shows all posted entries for the selected company rather than only the currently focused workbench period.
Open supporting detail
Choose Details at the right of the entry heading. BooksPlus returns to Current Period, opens Support Detail, and shows the selected posted entry together with its Source Document and audit evidence when available.
If an account displays as unavailable, do not infer it from the amount or description. Preserve the entry and investigate the account reference; posted history must not be silently redirected or edited.
Posted entries are immutable
Ledger is a review surface. It does not edit, delete, reverse, or adjust an entry. A posted error requires the governed Corrections workflow so the original entry and its correction chain remain visible. That Corrections desktop workflow is not yet available; do not post an ordinary manual entry as an undocumented substitute.
After Ledger review, use Reporting and Trial Balance to check the posted results for the required date range.
