Account Code Resolution Contract

Canonical service: AccountCodeResolution

Purpose: - Resolve user-entered account identifiers to account identity without letting account-number patterns define accounting behavior.

Rules: - Exact account-code match is attempted first. - Shorthand padding is allowed only when enabled for the chart. - Shorthand padding must respect configured canonical length and numeric/alphanumeric settings. - Routine posting resolution must require an active account with posting status posting and direct posting allowed. - Resolution must reject not-found, inactive, retired, non-posting, wrong-company, and ambiguous results explicitly. - Account-number patterns must not determine accounting classification. - Resolution returns account identity and account properties; callers must not treat the submitted code as identity.
